Drownings in children were on the increase between 2015 and 2017. The most recent data shows that drowning is the lead cause of unintentional death among children between the ages of 1 to 4 years old.

Another 1.9 million Americans have filed for unemployment benefits last week. This is according to the department of labor. Data shows that more than 42 million people in the United States have filed for unemployment benefits since the pandemic brought the economy to a standstill.

The father and son charged with Arbery's murder in Georgia had a preliminary court case today, via video. Travis Michael and his father were accused of firing at Ahmaud Arbery back in February.

West Virginia's attorney general is suing two major pharmacies, alleging they reaped billions of dollars in revenue from opioid sales while turning a blind eye to the sheer numbers of drugs being sold.

West Virginia COVID-19 cases rise to 2,092

As of 10 a.m. on June 4, when the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources (DHHR) issued their morning update on the COVID-19 case total, there had been 2,092 confirmed cases across the Mountain State.
