Bridgewater College receives national and regional accolades for affordable tuition and social mobility

HARRISONBURG, Va. (WHSV) - Bridgewater College has received national and regional rankings for affordability and social mobility.

According to a press release from the school, U.S. News recognized Bridgewater as a top performer on social mobility and a Best National Liberal Arts College. Meanwhile, Washington Monthly ranked Bridgewater among its Best Liberal Arts Colleges and schools with the ‘Best Bang for the Buck’ in the Southeast.

The college’s executive vice president and provost, Leona Sevick, said Bridgewater students can reap the benefits of a private education without paying private school tuition.

”That ranking is important to us. We want to make sure that anybody who’s interested in a private education knows that they can afford it,” Sevick said. “It’s accessible to everyone.”
