Woman charged with kidnapping is extradited back to Augusta County to await next court date

AUGUSTA COUNTY, Va. (WHSV) - The Alabama woman charged with kidnapping her biological children from a neighborhood in Fishersville last month is back in Augusta County where she’ll await her next court date.
Shanice Davison is charged with three counts of parental abduction of a child across state lines after Ja’Liyah, Ja’Miyah, and Jai’Marcus Lewis were taken from a bus stop on Bobby’s Way back on Dec. 5.
Later that day, Davison was stopped with the children in her vehicle near Birmingham, Alabama presumably on her way back home. She was arrested without incident.
According to court documents, Davison was extradited back to Augusta County on Dec. 30 and bond was denied during a hearing yesterday.
She’ll remain at Middle River Regional Jail at least until her next court date on Feb. 12 in Augusta County Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court.
