New England Patriots sign former JMU DL Kromah to 53-man roster

(WHSV) - Former James Madison defensive lineman Jamree Kromah is getting his shot in the NFL. The New England Patriots signed Kromah to their 53-man roster on Wednesday.

Kromah was signed by the Chicago Bears as an undrafted free agent on May 9. He was released by the Bears on Aug. 27 and signed to their practice squad the next day.

Kromah, 24, was one of James Madison’s most impactful defensive players during the 2023 season. Starting all 13 games, Kromah tallied 60 tackles and 11 sacks.

The Patriots kick off Week 3 when they play the New York Jets on Thursday night.
